Christmas Fair
The Incarnation Christmas Fair, held annually since 1942, is one of Murray Hill’s most anticipated events. Held on the first Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Fair includes a Silent Auction, a Christmas Boutique, a Café and Bake Sale, as well as the sale of lovely holiday gifts. Parishioners are essential to the Fair’s success. Those interested can donate items for sale, solicit Silent Auction offerings, attend the “Christmas in July” craft night, or volunteer for the event itself.
Upcoming Events
The 70th annual Church of the Incarnation Christmas Fair will take place on Friday, November 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, December 1 from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m.
Silent Auction at the Christmas Fair
Come bid! Last year’s items included a five-day stay at an inn in Vermont, a leaded-glass panel, a catered cocktail party with a Portuguese theme, tickets to the New York Philharmonic, silver jewelry, fine wine, a Battersea box, a three-course French bistro dinner for six served in the winner’s home, miniature soldiers, meals in several area restaurants – and on and on. We’re just now accepting donations for this year and it looks as if we have real winners. So far there are places to go, things to do, things for the home, things for you.
We’d welcome a piece of jewelry, silver, or crystal – lessons in tennis, golf, bridge or a language – instruction on using computer programs – or a gift certificate from a restaurant or shop. And much more, subject only to your imagination! To offer a donation, email Janet Loengard, Silent Auction chairperson. Many thanks and we hope to see you at the Fair!
