E-MINDER: the Church of the Incarnation

THE WEEK OF AUGUST 3-10, 2008

The Olympic Games, at their best, bring together the nations of the world to compete with respect and integrity and help to foster good feelings and relations throughout the global community.  As the 2008 Summer Olympics begin this Thursday in Beijing, China, I invite you to pray:

A Prayer for the Diversity of Races and Cultures
O God, who created all peoples in your image, we thank you for the wonderful diversity of races and cultures in this world.  Enrich our lives by ever-widening circles of fellowship, and show us your presence in those who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
