E-MINDER: the Church of the Incarnation

THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 26-NOVEMBER 2, 2008

Next Sunday, for the Feast of All Saints, we celebrate the Communion of Saints, that is "the whole family of God, the living and the dead…bound together in Christ by sacrament, prayer and praise" (Book of Common Prayer, p. 862).  We give thanks for God's invitation to us to participate in this communion while we remember those saints, known and unknown to us, who have died.  Please send us the names of departed family members and friends you would like us to include in Sunday's service.

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one
communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son
Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints
in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those
ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love
you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy
Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
